Once upon a time, in mystical land far away, there was a mighty Empire, called the Golden Empire.
The Golden Empire was made up of hundred of small nations, each with their own laws, their own Kings and their own people. Above the Kings, there were three Emperors, The White Tiger Emperor, The Fire Bird Emperor and the Red Dragon Emperor, whose job is to supervise the Kings, to maintain peace between the nations and to make sure the Kings work in public interest. The Emperors are been supervised by the Supreme Senate, elected by the citizens of the Empire.
Amount the nations of the Golden Empire, there were two nations, the Ox nation and the Rat nation. The Ox nation was an alpha nation, which means that she was one of the more powerful nations within the Empire.
The Ox nation is peaceful in general, within her well protected city walls there was the Ox nation's glorious cities. The Ox nation believes in peace, freedom and equality. The King and the Citizens of the Ox nations are lawfully equals, where the King is their leader and their pro liberation King rules the nation with his loyalty towards his people and his country. The crown of the Ox nation is passed down to whoever that can lead the nation, where the King nominate a Senator to be the next the Crown Prince and await for the Senate's approval or for the Senate to nominate a Senator to be the next Crown Prince and await for the King's approval and the Ox nation's regional and federal government official is chosen the same way.
The Ox nation was one of the regions most famous trading spot, where businessman from all over the nearby regions, come here to open trade with each other. The Ox nation's intellects set the foundation of the nation's economy, where the well respected farmers, hunters and fisherman set the basic, but important foundation of their nation through agriculture. The Ox nation's silk and craftsmanship was famous through out the world and is been exported everywhere, both within and outside of the Golden Empire. The Ox nation is famous for its math, science, medicine, literature and philosophy and people throughout the Golden Empire, flocked to study here. The Ox nation's powerful army protected the nation from invaders from outside. The success of the Ox nation came from the unity of their people.
The Rat nation is a Delpha nation, which means she is one of the weaker nations of the Golden Empire. The Rat nation has a strong isolation policy, where the nation isolate herself from nations of other race and other religion, believe, even from within the Golden Empire. Those within the Rat nation who dares to be different were been frown upon and might even be executed by the court. The Rat nation is capable of producing very little goods and its isolation policy means she has little nations to trade with and most of those nations were extremely far away and has little interest in what the Rat nation has to offer, this make the Rat nation very poor. Knowledge and inventions, from foreign race or religion is been rejected and forbidden to be taught or introduce, meaning the people of the Rat nation has limited skills, in comparison to the rest of the Empire.
The Rat nation has a very strong social hierarchy system, where only those on the higher rank within the hierarchy is allow to learn how to read and write. The people who are amount the lower rank of the social hierarchy are practically slaves. In fact, prior to becoming a part of the Golden Empire, some of those people were slaves. Now, it is only, out of fear of the Golden Empire, the King of the Rat nation agrees to give the people of the lower social hierarchy some minimum care, but even so, many of them are still living in poverty, work for minimum wages and dying, while their land lords who rank higher in the society hierarchy, live in luxury. The people who ranks top in the Rat nation's hierarchy are the ones who runs the nation and cares about little other then to secure their own power and used most of the nation's resources to secure their power and live a luxury life. The warrior class of the Rat nation rank second highest in the hierarchy, where the ruling class give them a huge sum of luxury, in exchange for their loyalty.
The Rat nation and the Ox nation are in two completely different corners of the Golden Empire. The Golden Empire was huge and as a result, the Rat nation and the Ox nation, has very little knowledge of one and other. The Rat nation and the Ox nation first come into contact, under the influence of the Fire Bird Emperor, through numbers of imperial conventions, where the Fire Bird Emperor hope to bring up further relationship and prosperity for the whole Empire.
The King of the Ox nation love to open up further diplomatic relationship with any other nation and he always try to get into good terms with any nation he can come across. The Ox King sees a good potential chance to open up trade with the Rat nation. One of the few plants that the Rat nation can grow is something that the Ox nation can use to create medical herbs, while been mix with other plants. So, despite the distant the Ox King still hold a bit of interest to open some trade with the Rat nation and if things doesn’t work out, it do not hurt to have another nation to be in good term with, on the other side of the Empire.
Within the third imperial convention, hold by the Fire Bird Emperor the Ox King asked to meet with the Rat King for the first time, where the Rat King accepted. Despite been more multicultural, the dominate race and religion of the Ox nation was the same of the Rat nations. The Rat King was originally very found of the Ox King, knowing that the Ox King is of the same racial and religion background as him and that his family has been the King of the Ox nation for three generations. The first meeting between the two Kings was a brief ten minutes conversation, but it went really well. The two nations learned a bit about each other's culture and then the two Kings exchanged gifts, bow and said their fare well.
However, the Rat King soon learned about the Ox nation's government policy, that the succession of the Ox nation's crown is strongly influence by the Senate, which is elected by the Ox citizens, that their citizens has the power to sack their King and the King of the Ox nation is a public servant. The Rat king who hold such strong believe in his nation's traditional value found it to be disturbing and angry, saying that the commoners of the Ox nation should learn their place as the subject of their King, which is below the King and the Ox King should discipline his peasants and start acting more like a King then the peasants' lap dog.
The Ox King also found the Rat nation's hierarchy government system to be extremely unfair, especially towards those in the lower rank of the hierarchy, but he received limited information about the Rat nation's social issue. If the Ox King has a little bit more knowledge towards the Rat nation's traditional culture, he probably would have figure out that the Rat nation must have certain social problem as a result of their social hierarchy. But with the limited information upon his hand, the only conclusion the Ox King came up with was that, the decision of what government structure the Rat nation want, is up to the citizens of the Rat nation and it is none of the Ox nation's business.
Within the third imperial convention hold by the Fire Bird Emperor, the Ox King strengthened the Ox nation's relationship with some of the Ox nation's old friends, strengthening their military alliance with the Wood nation, created a trading deal with the Water nation and made a few new friends amount some other nations.
Within the fourth imperial convention hold by the Fire Bird Emperor, the Ox King asked to talk to the Rat King again, hoping to open up the trading deal with the Rat nation. But the Rat King now looks at the Ox nation with disgust, thinking that the people of the Ox nation have no moral boundaries, no discipline and probably sleep with other people's wives and now that he knows the Ox King's mother, was once a servant working in a rich family's kitchen, he also started to look at the Ox King from a snobby attitude. So, the Rat King rejected the Ox King's offer, for another meeting and hoping to open up trade, with the most clear and arrogant and insulting manner possible. The Ox King was slightly offended, so he gave a short speech about his disappointment and the short sight of the Rat nation and leaves it at that.
The Ox King Saha gave up on making a trading deal with the Rat nation and never went to approach the Rat nation ever again. Within the next three convention hold by the Fire Bird Emperor, The Ox King Saha, continue to strengthen the Ox nation's relationship, with nations that he has got into good term with and continue to make plans and decisions that will further benefit the Ox nation. After the series of convention, hold by the Fire Bird Emperor, was over, The Ox King Saha, return to the Ox nation, with even more prosperity opened up for his nation.
Three years has passed, the Rat King Jara continue to strengthen his power and control over the Rat nation and continue to strengthen his support amount the ruling class. Jara continue to give even more benefit to the Warrior class, in return to get their support. A whole range of fear and rewards was been given towards the landlord class, to insure their loyalty.
The Rat King Jara, still believe that the people of the Ox nation to be lack of moral boundaries and social discipline and they probably sleep with other peoples' wives, because of their pro liberal and pro equality, policy and culture. So, The Rat King Jara, started to put in place a whole range of stricter laws, to maintain the social hierarchy of the Rat nation and its isolation policy against other race and religions and even harsher law against anybody that would speak out against it, saying that it is maintain the moral and discipline of the good old conservative values. The Rat King Jara putted extremely strict laws against any lower class citizens of the Rat nation, who dares to complain about their poverty status, saying that they should be grateful of what they got and they shouldn't cross the moral boundary of their class.
In the Ox nation, Saha is still the King and a new Crown Prince was been appointed by the Senate, after the last Crown Prince was been dismissed on corruption charges. By this stage, Saha's unhappy incident with the Rat nation, three years ago, is now merely a vague memory from the past. Saha has no idea what happened to the Rat nation and he hold no interest, he hasn't been in contact with the Rat nation and he has no desire to do so. Saha was running his nation as usual and he was doing a great job. The people of the Ox nation love Saha and life in the Ox nation has never been better, the Ox nation's economy is growing more powerful by the day and everybody lived in harmony with one and other, with good social literacy rate and low unemployment rate, where everybody is making a decent living, the crime rate was reaching a new low. Now, the Ox King Saha is about to join another series of conferences, of the Golden Empire, this time, it is hold by the White Tiger Emperor.
The White Tiger Emperor is hoping to use this conference, to decrease poverty within the Golden Empire and to increase the Golden Empore's overall national defense.
Both the Ox King and the Rat King were invited to the convention, amount another one hundred and fifty nations, within the Golden Empire.
The Ox King Saha hardly even remembers the Rat King Jara and didn't even pay any attention towards the Rat King, who did not give one good suggestion throughout the entire conference.
However, every time Jara saw the Ox King, his hatred and disgust towards the Ox nation grew stronger. Finally, Jara sends order back towards the Rat nation and ordered for his army to attack the Ox nation.
The soldiers of the Rat nation walked for eight days, crossing an entire desert, almost without any sleep to get to the Ox nation. By this stage, the army of the Ox nation has already received the news of the Rat army's arrival. The Rat army tried to attack the Ox nation's well defended city, only to be blocked off by the Ox army. The Rat army was forced to withdraw. The Ox army marched out of their city and attacks the Rat army. The army of the Wood nation and the Swan nation soon joined the Ox army against the Rat army's forces. The Rat army was been attacked from three triangular sides and was soon been defeated. The entire war took, less then a day. The Rat army lost thousand of their best warriors either dead, wounded or captured, where the alliance between the Ox, Swan and Wood nation, lost only three solider and had six wounded.
This war has done minimum damage towards the Ox nation, but the Crown Prince and the Senate of the Ox nation, send a messenger towards their King, within the White Tiger Emperor's conference, right away.
When the Ox King Saha heard about this news, he was furious and he confronted the Rat King Jara for his behavior and demanded for an explanation.
However, instead of facing the Ox King and giving him a reasonable explanation, Jara started acting like the Rat nation is the victim and the Ox nation is the aggressor.
The Ox King was furious. Saha soon made a formal speech amount an audience of hundreds, demanding for the Rat nation to compensate the Ox nation, for this ruthless invasion.
"The Ox nation never did anything bad to the Rat nation. Throughout the inter history we only made only one diplomatic attempt with the Rat nation, over three years ago, where the Rat nation has ruthlessly reject and we leave them to be and yet the Rat nation still has to come to us and attack our nation for no good reason. A diplomatic attempt is not a forceful assault against another nation, but a door to open up positive relationship between two nations, a door, which the Rat nation later onwards insulted and shut down. Then in response to that, we just leave them to be and get on with our life. That was over three years ago and it giving the Rat nation no reason to come to our nation to assault the Ox nation. The Rat nation should be trialed for their crime and be punish for it" The Ox King Saha said.
The Rat King Jara, did all he could to avoid the King of the Ox nation and when he could finally avoid the Ox King, the Rat King Jara made a speech.
"It is a horrify situation for a small nation like ours, to have a greedy and massive nation, like the Ox nation, putting their feet into our door step again and again. It is not the first time, the Ox nation march upon our door step and it won't be the last. I just want this all to end, for the sack of the Rat nation" Jara said
